Regarded as an expert in reproductive medicine and biology, Dr. Beim’s postdoctoral embryology research at the University of Cambridge (UK) and doctoral work at Cornell (Weill, NYC) on the molecular genetics of mammalian fertility took a very personal turn when she began to notice many of the successful and career-minded women in her network begin to voice strong concerns about their biological clocks. That is when it dawned on her: What if women could understand their own fertility based on data and biology rather than age alone? How would that change how women made life-defining decisions? In that moment, Celmatix was born. Dr. Beim has also been widely recognized as an emerging business leader. She was recently named a member of the Aspen Institute’s Health Innovator Fellowship, a NYC Venture Fellow by the NYCEDC, to Crain’s 40 Under 40 and a Top Female Founder of 2015 by TechCrunch. She lives in New York City with her husband and sons.
Prior to his work at Celmatix, James was CFO of TitleVest, a tech-enabled company operating in the real estate space, where he oversaw all financial functions while also providing strategic and operational direction during a period where the company tripled in size and expanded across the US.
